Allan being the middle child doesn't get as much attention as the other two. The drama queen Lorelei likes to have her share and baby Charlie gets at least the other half. Allan usually goes with the flow unless it involves leaving somewhere fun and heading back to our house. Then a crying tantrum ensues because he hates to be at our house, because "It's no fun!" Obviously I am doing a poor job on my daily entertainment job, otherwise he might be a bit more joyful about arriving home.
Allan has a number of funny things he says. Here are a few:
1. When something doesn't go his way - "Ohhh, Mannnn!"
2. "Mom, I like you." (I hear this one at least twice a day, what a relief.)
3. On Dinosaurs -
"A Stegosaurus 'stegs' other dinosaurs with his tail."
"A Triceratops pokes with his horns."
"A Dimetrodon wags his tail."
"A Brontosaurus wags it's neck."
"The one that we don't know has a thing that makes him not be wet and he puts it up to protect his head."
4. "Mom I don't want to have anymore birthdays because I don't want to grow up. I just want to be your goofy little guy."
5. "Booky Poopy Pants", "Saucy Head" or other nonsense phrases.
6. Farts or burps and then lots of giggles.
7. "Look Mom, I'm upside over." (upside down)
8. "I want to go potty like a big boy." (i.e. standing up)
He is a sweet little boy and he loves Lorelei so much that he cries while she is at pre-school. When we pick her up the two embrace as if they haven't seen each other in years. He is nice to Charlie, but a little bit too touchy. Charlie does not welcome all the pats on the head. Allan also gives super sweet, pucker lip kisses (maybe we should reserve those just for mom).
